Dragon Age: Requiem
The Broken Drum
Hours: Always Open
From the outside it looks depressing, rough and broken. Softwood and carved pillars make up most of the building’s outer structure. It’s hard to see through the dusty windows, but the music and songs from within can be felt outside.
As you enter the tavern through the worn, wooden door, you’re welcomed by a layer of smoke hanging below the ceiling and the smell of alcohol. The walls are littered with so many different memorabilia, you’re not sure if they tried going for a specific style at one time or just put up anything they like. Rounded, wooden beams support the upper floor and the huge lamps attached to them.
The tavern itself is typically packed. Travelers seem to be the primary clientele here, which could be seen as a bad sign, though you’re sure it’s not. Several long tables, a few other other smaller tables, and a series of stools at the bar make up the majority of the accommodations here.
The upstairs portion of the tavern serves as an inn. The main common room can accommodate 10 patrons comfortably, though a spot on the floor can be picked up at half the rate. There are also five private rooms for patrons seeking a little more discretion.
